Friday, I saw Bridesmaids with my sister. We were completely alone in the theater, so we laughed obnoxiously loud and talked throughout the entire movie. I had high expectations and I wasn't disappointed a bit. Kristen Wiig is absolutely hilarious and I was very happy with Judd Apatow for finally doing a comedy starring females (who aren't Leslie Mann).
Now, some females may be lured into seeing the movie with the promise of a Jon Hamm sex scene. However, I can promise you that every single female will leave the theater swooning over this week's MMM honoree.

I will be completely honest. I had never heard of Chris O'Dowd until Friday. He stole every scene he was in and my heart simultaneously. Here are the things you need to know about him: He's Irish. He's hilarious. He's 6'3". Sometimes, he has a beard.
Seriously, he is that hot guy that sits quietly in the back of your college anthropology class. You know, the one you spot on the first day. You pay more attention than usual when the professor does roll call, in order to catch his name. You spend entire lectures sneaking casual peeks at him and hoping he likes Dave Matthews Band and mexican food, too. You heave an enormous sigh when he doesn't show up (because he is the only reason why you even bothered to show up). You
Like every other girl in America, European accents are my kryptonite. Seriously, one sentence out of this man and my pants flew off.
Random Tidbit: He has a collection of over 1,000 chocolate bar wrappers. Thanks, IMDB.
Only downfall?: I've done an impressive amount of Chris O'Dowd internet trolling since Friday and I noticed in a youtube video that he was smoking. *sigh*
I know that I have bored you with some questionable clips in the past, but this is honestly worth the ENTIRE watch. I promise. For the record - he is 100 times more attractive than Bradley Cooper.
So, readers: It's your turn. Am I the only one who can't decide whether to bring him home to meet the parents or just ravage him on the spot?
Anyone want to join me on a trip to Ireland? Forget the Blarney Stone. I know exactly what Irish thing I'm kissing.
LOVED him in this movie!! I had never seen him before but he was just adorable! And I'm a sucker for accents, too.
ReplyDeletePS- I have kissed the Blarney Stone. Then I found out that Irish people think it's funny to pee on it. Thanks Ireland.
Ha that is so true about Leslie Mann being the main woman in all Apatow's movies. I guess it pays to be his wife. I LOVED Bridesmaids too!
ReplyDeleteI still haven't seen this movie, and I've heard fantastic things about it! I'm carving out time this week for sure. I loled at you and your sister in Colony alone though. I love that place.
ReplyDeleteOkay: I've never heard of this guy before. And, my internet connection is too slow for me to watch that video. But, he's cute. And, if he has an Irish accent, then he's upgraded to hot. So, nice pick? :)
hahahahahahaah > "Seriously, one sentence out of this man and my pants flew off.",,, nice accent, mb i'll have to see the movie bc im not quite feelin it yet
ReplyDeletehahaha i loved the part about your pants flying off too. i had never heard of him until bridesmaids either (which was hilarious) and he really did steal every scene. good pick!!!
