Keepin' it real (Way too late)

As expected, I neglected my blog for a few days. Luckily (or not so luckily), I haven't been doing too much. I got a new pair of glasses. As always, I dreaded the annual eye appointment and trying on dozens of pairs. I'm a creature of habit and my dad always encourages bizarre, stylish glasses. He somehow convinced me to get a different style AND transition lenses. I'll upload a picture when I pick them up this week. My parents left for a week-long vacation in Florida. Despite the fact that I don't really like the beach, I wish I was with them...just to have a change of scenery.

Wonderful Emma at http://legallylovely.blogspot.com/ gave me an award, so now I will post ten things about myself and then pass the award along to ten others. Since I'm not really following anyone, I'll leave the passing to whoever else wants to do it.

1. If it were up to me, I wouldn't have a cell phone. When I left for college, my parents demanded that I get one and even still, my friends reprimand me for never reading their texts in a timely manner.
2. If I could be anyone, I would love to be Tina Fey. Not only is she hilarious and talented, but she makes smart sexy.
3. I'm part of a very small minority in this country - Haters of Discovery Channel's Shark Week. I'm terrified of sharks - and moths.
4. I have a huge appreciation for the sky. I could spend hours just watching it.
5. I'm definitely a city girl. I get a little stir crazy when I have nothing to do...which happens more often than I'd like in good ole Lebanon.
6. I love Lady Gaga. She is totally the new Madonna...and I love her for that.
7. I could eat Mexican food every day for the rest of my life.
8. I wish my life was a musical. I grew up in a musical-loving family and I'm convinced life would be so much better that way.
9. I have a few OCD-like pet peeves. I can't handle it when someone knocks something over and leaves it that way...nor can I handle it when people end sentences with prepositions. ex. "Where are you at?"
10. I watch Jeopardy every single day. I've loved it since the age of 2.
