Today's prompt is: One Thing You Can't Live Without.
I'm happy to say that I'm struggling with this question. Don't get me wrong - there are plenty of things I wouldn't want to live without, but things I actually require to function? Nothing comes to mind.
The obvious answer is family, friends, a home, etc., but I don't think the prompt refers to people or is meant to be taken literally. So, after a day of thoughtful consideration, I've decided the one thing I would really struggle to live without is a computer with Internet access. No google, no blogging, no social media, no mapquest. Seriously, how did people use actual, tangible maps for traveling long distances?
The Internet is where I get my news, how I keep in touch with loved ones, where I go to learn, and where I go for new ideas of things to do, places to see, etc. If it was suddenly taken from me, I would be pretty lost.
But, in the spirit of the prompt, I've decided to create a little list of the things I would really struggle without.
Sports team: Cincinnati Bengals
Clothing item: Old Navy flip-flops
Food: Cereal
Drink: Dr. Pepper
Musician: Dave Matthews Band
TV show: The Ellen DeGeneres Show
Hobby: Reading
Restaurant: Chipotle
Date night: Dinner and a movie
Obviously, I'm pretty spoiled because the list of things that make me happy/make my life easier are unnecessary luxuries. What non-essential thing in your life would you struggle to give up?

Those are great picks, it's a hard question for sure.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your choices, especially on the bengals #whodey!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, non-essentials? Mine is a toss up between my morning coffee concoction or Mexican food. I can't decide which one I'd be grumpier without.
ReplyDeleteYou're a girl after my own heart. Dr. Pepper is my weakness! I can't quit it totally. I take breaks, but I just can't quit that full-sugar goodness!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't live without Blogging Out Loud!
