Happy Thoughts Thursday

I'm still experiencing withdrawal symptoms from our trip to Gatlinburg, but no worries - I still have plenty of reasons to smile.

- Home. The Cyclones have a couple home games this week, so I'm back home in Cincinnati for the weekend. Also, one of my favorite people (who also happens to be one of my college housemates) is getting married on Saturday and I can't wait to share her special day with her!

- Indiana Pacers. As I've already mentioned, I'm not remotely a basketball fan. However, my wonderful boyfriend gives me free tickets to games all the time (not a bad perk), so I've pretty much become the team's secondary mascot. It must be working because the Pacers are the only undefeated team in the NBA with a perfect 8-0 record. Unfortunately, the most recent win came at the expense of the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night, which makes this more of a bittersweet thought than a happy thought, I suppose.

-  Netflix. Whoa. I've always known that I had access to Netflix, but I've never really taken advantage of it until recently. Wheat and I have slowly been making our way through Friday Night Lights (which I love), but we also just watched a movie (Goon) and I think that will be our new go-to on boring nights at home.

- My brother. I didn't post anything about Veteran's Day on Monday, but I can honestly say I think about the troops every single day. Why? Because my handsome little brother is a United States Marine and is currently deployed overseas. This will be our first holiday season without him and we're still struggling with that, but we couldn't be more proud of him and what he's doing. He truly is one of my happiest thoughts every week.

- Cookies and cream ice cream. Requires absolutely no explanation.

- "Give Me Love" by Ed Sheeran. Mmm...his voice. It totally melts me and I love this song. Also, the only contestants worth talking about on X Factor, Alex and Sierra, sang this as a beautiful duet last week. I'm not a huge fan of the video, but here it is.
