Halloween Creepy (Bar) Crawl

Last night, Wheat, Jenn, Kelly, and I embarked on a four-hour bar crawl in downtown Indianapolis. Although I don't drink, I still had an amazing time...and that's all the reason I need to dress up for Halloween.

Wheat and I were Blue and Steve from Blue's Clues. Jenn was the devil. Kelly was a goth.

Sitting in his thinking chair and thinking.
They're pretty. Ugh.
When we checked in at Sensu (which might have been my favorite bar), we got wristbands and five drink tickets each (good for one free drink at each bar on the crawl). Bud Light, Southern Comfort, and Bacardi sponsored the event, so those were the only options for the tickets. Luckily for me, I didn't have to twist too many arms to share my tickets.

Too bizarre not to include in this post.
We spent about 40 minutes at each bar before moving on to the next one. All the bars (Sensu, Blu, Social, Ike & Jonesy's, and Tiki Bob's Cantina) had different DJs and drink specials. Sensu and Blu were even playing a montage of clips from different classic horror movies. I loved it.

Most of the costumes were about what you would expect for this year: Half-naked girls. Breaking Bad. Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke. Duck Dynasty. My favorite of the night was Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead, complete with his very own crossbow. I also really liked an older couple that dressed as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.

Speaking of half-naked girls, we literally saw a half-naked girl. She was dressed (I use the term "dressed" very loosely here) up as Poison Ivy and was only wearing green underwear. She was completely naked up top and walking around the bars covered only in green paint. I was completely shocked, but after some research, we found out that it's legal for girls to be topless. No, thanks.

My exact sentiments after the Bengals game. My friends were clearly supportive.
Aside from the constant rain, a disappointing Bengals overtime loss (that ended with a Dolphins' safety and an ACL tear for Geno Atkins), and an unfortunate dress + wind mishap on my part (that I refuse to speak about), the night was a total success. The best part? Thanks to Living Social, we only paid $7.50 a person (plus tips) for the whole night.

This holiday just never seems to disappoint. I'm already counting down the days to next Halloween.
