Happy Thoughts Thursday

I have more than enough happy thoughts this week. 

- Gatlinburg trip! A big group of my high school friends are going to Gatlinburg for a long weekend retreat in a mountaintop cabin. We did the same thing last year and I had such a blast. Expect a detailed recap early next week.

- Apple cider. I still have a gallon from Iron's Fruit Farm and I'm taking my sweet time finishing it.

- The Voice. I can't get over how good the contestants are this season. I also can't believe that America can only choose one winner. I'm really digging Matthew Schuler and Ray Boudreaux, but it won't be long before I'm borderline-devastated by some of the eliminations.

- Visitors. On Saturday, my sister and her boyfriend came to see the new apartment and accompany me to the Pacers vs. Cavaliers game. Yesterday, my friend Sam came to visit and after a delicious dinner at Bru Burger, we ended up at the Pacers vs. Bulls game. Apparently, I'm becoming a mascot of sorts for the home team. I'm not above using free tickets as bribes for visitors. You've been warned.

Love them too much.

- I Wear the Black Hat by Chuck Klosterman. Lately, Wheat and I have been reading it aloud to each other and I think it's the perfect way to spend quality time together without staring at a screen of some sort. It's also nice to have someone to reflect with - it's like we have our own little book club. Bonus perk: The book is really interesting, too.

- "Starry Eyed" by Ellie Goulding. I've loved her for some time now, but something about the chilly weather makes me inexplicably love her even more.
