- Christmas Gift Exchanges. Since Wheat is going to Houston for Christmas, we're exchanging Christmas presents (and stockings, of course) tonight. I can't wait to finally give him my gifts! It takes every ounce of my will power not to tell him what I got early. I also have two gift exchanges with friends coming up and I can't wait to spend some much-needed time with my awesome friends.
- Friday Night Lights. I'm referring to the TV series, although I really love the movie and book, too. For the last several months, Wheat and I have slowly been making our way through the series and sadly, we're finishing it this week. I highly recommend it to anyone, even those who don't care for football. It's not really a show about football, believe it or not. It deals with family dynamics, race, religion, relationships, small-town politics, and other common themes. The characters are believable, relatable, and loveable...and I'm really going to miss them.
- Secret Wonderland lotion from Bath & Body Works. If I'm being honest, I love just about everything sold in this store. Lately, this lotion has fixed my winter dry skin and even smells Christmas-y in a sugar plum kind of way.
- Tessanne Chin. In other words, the newest winner of The Voice. I'm still slowly recovering from the depression that set in when Matthew Schuler was eliminated far too early, but the fact that Tessanne walked away with the victory shows that there is justice in the world...or America voted intelligently or something.
- Free reading. I haven't started, but I'm going to read a book FOR FUN while I'm home. It's been way too long and I can't wait. I'm also going to participate in a blog book club next year, so I'm excited to see the books they choose for it.
- "Use Me" by Bill Withers. So funky. So good.
What's making YOU happy this week?
