Last night, I hosted a gift exchange with my best girl friends from high school. It's funny to even call them my 'friends from high school' because they're still my closest friends. Period. It's amazing how time and distance seem to have no effect on relationships like that.
My mom helped me set up a hot chocolate bar and I love how it turned out. We had whipped cream, crushed peppermint, Andes mints, Oreos, crushed Reese's cups, chopped walnuts, sprinkles, peppermint and ice cream marshmallows, caramels, and wafer and peppermint sticks for stirring. Let's just say I'm glad we have leftovers.
Sib had me for the exchange and she made me an awesome gum tree (the sign says 'Have an EXTRAordinary Christmas!'), a cute candle with chalkboard paint on it (she wrote 'Who-Dey' on it), and a gift card for UDF. Score.
Although the gifts and the hot chocolate were fun, the best thing about the night was catching up and spending time with these girls. You're probably tired of hearing it, but I'm so very lucky.

That's the most impressive hot chocolate bar I've ever seen! My compliments to the chef...
