As my favorite holiday during my favorite part of the year, Halloween has always been a big deal to me. This, of course, means that I take my Halloween costume very seriously.
As a child, I was Pippi Longstocking five times. My mom braided my hair around a flattened coat hanger, so that my pigtails would stick straight out. I wish I could find a picture because it was impressive.
Since then, I've been:
Mario,
a Twister board,
a baby,
the Wicked Witch of the West,
Mrs. Peacock (from Clue),
and last year, my own version of a Pittsburgh Penguin.
I already have my costume picked out for this year. It's a secret, but you won't be disappointed.
