Man Meat Monday #27

Since I'm actually a gleeky tween at heart, I went to the Glee 3D movie at midnight on Thursday. No, not alone, you creeps.

I've been going through serious Glee withdrawal, so I couldn't wait any longer. The movie was incredible. I literally could not stop smiling and singing along. I admit I have a crush on just about every guy involved with Glee. However, there was one in particular that I loved seeing in three dimensions. Any excuse to have him closer to my mouth...

Claim to Fame: Actor (Glee)

Birthday: February 5, 1987

I'm not sure how to say this any other way: Darren Criss is flawless. Here's the proof:

- He is a musical prodigy. We've all heard his incredible voice. He's also a classically trained violinist, plays the piano, drums, and guitar, and writes his own songs.

- He speaks Italian. Let me repeat that. He speaks Italian.

- Have you seen his face?

- He loves Disney songs - possibly more than I do. He has a ton of youtube videos where he covers classics from Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, and The Little Mermaid. Check them out. Your heart will melt.

- Obviously, he's a great actor. He is a straight guy, comfortable enough in his own sexuality to play a more-than-convincing gay teenager.

- Speaking of Glee, he is an incredible role model for gay teenagers (and adults!) and a champion of gay rights. *swoon*

- Have you seen his face?

- In interviews, he seems so down-to-earth and humble.

- He loves Harry Potter. As a student at the University of Michigan, he co-founded a theater production company called Team StarKid. While there, he wrote the music for A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel and starred as Harry Potter in the productions. These musicals are hilarious and so well made. If you love Harry Potter as much as I do, watch them on youtube.

- Have you seen his face?

Random Tidbit: Continuing the trend of following Harry Potter in his career, Darren is set to replace Daniel Radcliffe in the Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying. Trip to NYC anyone?

Only downfall?: After an hour of thinking, it suddenly hit me. He graduated from the University of Michigan. As a huge Buckeye fan, this isn't necessarily a dealbreaker, but it does pose a potential problem in November. Sidenote: In one episode of Glee, Blaine talks about Ohio State football, thereby making Darren perfect.
