After much consideration, I've decided to start my own weekly blog segment: Man Meat Monday...because it wouldn't be me if it wasn't related to my countless celebrity crushes.
So, here's the lay-out. I give you my crush of the week. I give you a little info on him (including a picture, maybe a youtube clip, and his biggest downfall), then I leave it up to you. YOU tell me in comments whether or not I'm crazy. I have been accused of suspect taste in guys before.
...and the very first subject of Man Meat Monday is my #1 celebrity crush of all-time...
Vince Vaughn
Claim to Fame: Actor (Wedding Crashers, The Break Up, Swingers)
Birthday: March 28, 1970
In honor of his new movie, The Dilemma (which comes out Friday), I've decided to honor my perfect man. Tall, dark, handsome, and hilarious. Sure, his movies have gotten progressively cheesier in recent years, but I'm always there - front and center - seeing each and every one in theaters. He represents everything I love about a good, fun-loving, midwestern boy (he lives in Chicago) and cracks me up with his quick-wit, fast-talking humor. He also loves sports - including my beloved OSU Buckeyes. He gets dinner with the Chicago Bears, regularly attends Blackhawks' games, sings the national anthem at Cubs' games, and even played the QB in Rudy. Did I mention that he's 6'5" and thick?
Random tidbit: Part of his thumb is missing due to injuries he sustained in a car crash in high school.
Only Downfall?: His horrendous re-make of Psycho? Just kidding. He's married and recently had his first child, Locklyn Kyla Vaughn. Don't get me wrong. I'm happy for him, but this kinda stands in the way of the life I had planned out for us five years ago...
Finally, this youtube clip kills me. In fact, this whole movie kills me. It's from A Cool, Dry Place (1999). In it, he plays Russell, a single dad, lawyer, and high school basketball coach. He struggles with raising his son alone, working a full-time job, and falling in love with someone while his ex-wife attempts to re-assert herself in his life. See it. You will fall in love with him.

Haha I am so happy about Man Meat Monday! I love it. And I agree with this one- he may not be my #1 (John Corbett is...mmmm) but he is pretty dang handsome! I like older guys (around 40) for some weird reason... haha!
