The last week has been a lovely compilation of great food, better company, hockey excitement, and outdoor hangs. Really no complaining here.
On Thursday, Wheat and I ventured downtown for Concerts on the Canal. With Subway sandwiches and a blanket in hand, we settled down on the hill in front of the Glick Indiana History Center to enjoy some music by The Flying Toasters. Eventually, we decided to walk along the canal - as you know, one of my favorite things - and I took an embarrassing amount of pictures.
Saturday was equally as nice. First, Mommles and I had lunch at Doc's with Sam and her wonderful mom. It was so great to have the four of us together for the first time in years (with the exception of Sam's wedding). Next, Wheat and I made a quick trip to the Wine and Beer Festival at Valley Vineyards. While there, we took a cellar tour, but dipped out about halfway through to get some deep-fried Oreos. Oops. And you can't be that close to the blue ice cream without getting it, right? Please excuse the picture vomit.
I should probably pump the brakes on the food, but otherwise, a pretty awesome weekend. You can expect some words on the hockey portion soon.

Oh darling, how I love the blue,
